Advent is “a time when God breaks in on us.” The first advent was when God himself took on flesh and entered our world. The second advent will be when Jesus Christ returns to completely redeem our world. In between those two advents, we remember, We celebrate. We anticipate.

To help us in this, we have a free Advent devotional available titled, “Darkness then Light.” We will preach a sermon on this theme on each of the four Sundays of Advent (Nov. 30, Dec. 7, Dec. 14, and Dec. 21). Then, in the week following, you can read the daily devotional to keep thinking about that theme.
